LOCAL ENTREPRENEUR INSPIRES YOUTH WITH CAMPUS-BORN FASHION BRAND


Michael Ashteye , a young entrepreneur, has made waves in the fashion industry with his campus-born brand. Starting with cargo pants and laundry services, Michael Ashteye expanded to custom jeans and event t-shirts, filling a gap in the industry.


"I saw a need for proper branding and unique designs in the events sector," Michael Ashteye explained. "My goal is to encourage entrepreneurship among young people, showing them they can start businesses while still in school."


Michael Ashteye's first pop-up event drew 200 attendees, exceeding expectations. The brand aims to facilitate entrepreneurship and collaboration among youth.

As a student, Michael Ashteye turned his passion into a thriving business. Starting small, he sold cargo pants and offered laundry services on campus. But he had bigger dreams.


He expanded to custom jeans, combining styles and creativity. Then, spotting a gap in the Gospel events industry, he began designing unique t-shirts for events.


"I wanted to show young people that entrepreneurship is possible while still in school," Michael Ashteye shared. "You don't have to wait; find your market space and create something."
